Since our formation on 1981 the McLennan Partnership have altered, extended and developed a varied and flexible approach to the conservation and adaptive re-use of listed properties. As a practice we have been involved in projects that cover all areas of architectural conservation:
- Maintenance of Listed properties – maintenance work of an everyday nature that includes cleaning gutters, replacing fallen slates etc.
- Repair Work beyond the scope of regular maintenance – returning the building to good order without alteration or restoration
- Reconstruction – re-establishment of the design of a building on the basis of documentary or physical evidence (i.e. fire / storm damaged listed properties)
- Restoration – Alteration of the fabric of a building to make it conform again to its original design or appearance.
